Feeling frozen? This cat delivers a purrfect lesson in how to stay warm
Thu Feb 19, 2015
The heater looks a little too close to the furniture. Let's hope nothing catches on fire.
The 'uncomfortable' topic women don't want to discuss
Thu Feb 12, 2015
In my personal experience it's men who don't like talking about money, financial planning, saving, spending habits, etc. Most of the women I know are the ones budgeting and paying the bills. Neither my ex-husband nor ex-boyfriend knew how to budget or cared to do so, spent money they didn't have, di …
New diet guidelines may ease daily cholesterol limits
Tue Feb 10, 2015
I think the bigger news on the segment this morning, that isn't even mentioned in this article, is the acknowledgment by the medical community and experts that the majority of cholesterol issues are genetic/hereditary. It doesn't mean that food doesn't help contribute in a small way, but the majorit …

I think it's ridiculous that we have to tell a school sports team to play terribly so the other team doesn't lose so bad. Everyone should go out and play their best the whole game. Teaching kids to "hold back" so you don't hurt the other team's feelings is stupid. And...people need to get a life. Yo …
'Normal' or neglect? Parents investigated after letting their children play and walk alone
Fri Jan 16, 2015
In this day and age with so many freaks in the world who target kids I wouldn't allow my child to do it. However, I don't think it's my place to tell other people what they can and can't do with their children (within reason of course...you can't beat them, starve them, etc.).
How often should you wash bath towels? The answer is...
Mon Jan 12, 2015
In reply to:@mommycallahan #2 You must not work outside of the home. I do...and I don't have time to do multiple loads of laundry every day. Whew! Good on you! :)
Put down the phone! How to break your kids free of technology on Thanksgiving
Tue Nov 25, 2014
Kids are incredibly addicted to technology these days and it's not good. They can't write and spell and the art of in-person communication has been all but lost. I saw a kid this weekend whose parents took away her phone (about 10 years old) and had a COMPLETE meltdown that was beyond ridiculous. Pa …
